His first career after military service was as a commercial banker. It was during this banking career that he became an honorary Life Member of the COBB Chamber of Commerce. After banking, came a career in real estate where he was responsible for one of the largest land assemblages in Cobb County. It was during this time that Dr. Tim was selected for participation in the Chamber’s Leadership Cobb program.
It was in the midst of his real estate career that he became acquainted with Chiropractic. Exposure to chiropractic principles and participation in his family’s practice convinced him that his calling was to serve God by serving his fellow man as a chiropractor. Being a native of Marietta, Georgia made the selection of Life University a natural choice.
After receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University, Dr. Tim served briefly as Director of Admissions at Life University and has been providing quality chiropractic care to the residents of Cobb County since 2001. He served for 5 years as Team Chiropractor for a local high school athletic program and has helped athletes of all ages. His practice is a family practice based on solid, scientific principles and is dedicated to getting quality chiropractic care to as many people as possible while keeping that care simple, safe, effective and affordable.
WHY I AM A CHIROPRATCOR
If my chiropractic story was all I had to tell you, I probably wouldn’t be a chiropractor today, probably just a satisfied customer who gets adjusted regularly. I injured my back lifting weights for high school football and suffered for 20 years to the point where I was even willing to consider surgery or chiropractic. Then I met a chiropractor and started getting adjusted and have been without a back problem ever since. In fact, I’ve not taken even an aspirin for over 15 years now.
However, I’m a chiropractor today because of a little girl named Rockie. I first met Rockie when she was eight years old. At that time, Rockie was suffering through 15-20 grand mal seizures EVERY day and taking 10-15 prescription drugs for the seizures, ADD/ADHD, emotional and a host of other problems. In fact, Rockie’s problems had been so bad that her doctors had recommended that she be institutionalized so her mom could live a normal life and not be burdened by a child who would never be like normal kids, unable to even ride a bicycle. Needless to say, Rockie’s mom said "No!" to that advice declaring that Rockie was a gift from God and her blessing and responsibility.
The long and short of the story is that that little eight year old girl who was not supposed to be like normal kids, recently graduated from college where she attended on a full four year academic scholarship and is on her way to an advanced degree, as well. Not only can Rockie ride a bicycle, she drove back and forth between Marietta, GA and Columbia, SC every week for four years. She also competes internationally in archery at the championship level. No. Rockie is not like normal kids, she’s incredible!
When asked what chiropractic did for Rockie, her mom says that more than relief from the seizures, learning disabilities and other diagnoses, the chiropractor was the FIRST and ONLY doctor who offered even a sliver of HOPE for her little girl. After knowing Rockie for several years and having watched her progress, I heard a story of another little girl suffering from seizures. Sadly, this little girl ended up having a hemispherctomy (an experimental procedure where HALF of the brain is removed) to relieve her symptoms. The parents were told that their daughter should not get adjusted by a chiropractor. I made a promise to God at that moment that I would spend the balance of my life letting people know that they were designed perfectly and that sometimes all they might need is just less interference on their nervous system instead of drastic and dangerous surgical procedures.
If chiropractic can do what it did for Rockie, don’t you think it might be able to help you or someone you love? It is my mission to help people avoid unnecessary drugs and surgery.
